Monday was the first day of school throughout Lake Havasu City, but for Telesis Preparatory Academy, a new principal highlighted the annual flag-raising ceremony to kick off a new year.
Telesis founder and former principal Sandy Breece introduced Ms. Tara McGuigan who will assume her responsibilities in one or two weeks.
“Tara McGuigan is the perfect fit for our school,” Breece said.
Breece will continue as superintendent and president of the Telesis Board of Directors and charter holder.
“I founded Telesis in 1991 and we are beginning our 31st year today for 330 PreK through 12 students. Quite a difference from when we opened with only nine students 30 years ago,” Breece said.
