The Havasu Community Health Foundation hosted a fundraiser Friday night at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center. The HCHF raised money for the Lake Havasu City Food Bank by staging a concert with the band Not Fade Away.

Friday was Hunger Awareness Day and according to Linda Seaver, 970 families in Lake Havasu are being serviced  with meals as of September 2022 in Lake Havasu City. In 2021, that number was 420.

“We are looking for the community to give us a hand in feeding families for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Turkeys, ham, potatoes, dressing, canned cranberries and pies are all needed,” said Linda Seaver.

The fundraiser brought in just over $20,000 Friday evening.
