Soroptimist International of Lake Havasu City hosted its annual awards banquet May 16^, in the Shugrue’s Bridgeview Room.

Soroptimist International presented local individuals with more than $30,000 in grants.

These grants and monies were presented to women in shelter homes, as grants for job training, athletic scholarships, LHHS Girls’ Golf Team, women veterans, and high school girl grants.

They also gave their Live Your Dream Awards to single women, head of household that are trying to stay in school (MCC or ASU Havasu), as well an Advanced Education Award which is a LYDA past year winner that SILHC is still able to assist.

Soroptimist transforms the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities. 

Soroptimist would like to thank the community of Lake Havasu for their support, your contributions that made a difference in the lives of many women and girls.
