There are some birthdays that are more special than others.
One Lake Havasu City fitness provider experienced a double celebration Wednesday.
Carol Christensen celebrated not only her 30th anniversary as a fitness instructor at Titan Gym, but she was also celebrating her 63rd birthday.
Titan owner Christi Donaldson said, “We are celebrating Carol’s birthday, but Dan (Donaldson) and I are celebrating 30 years of working with Carol.
“I don’t call her our employee; I call her our friend and our family.”

Donaldson said the one thing she respects about Christensen is her loyalty to them and to Titan.
“She’s an amazing person and we are beyond blessed to have her.”
Christensen said, “I’m beyond blessed to be celebrating my 63rd birthday here today and they have spoiled me and blessed me all these years.
“I love teaching here because we’re all here to support and love each other and push each other and be here for each other,” she said.
One of Christensen’s students, Stephanie Dopp, was on hand for the celebration.

“Carol has been with Titan for 30 years and many of the people in this class have been with her just about as long as well. She has been kind to everyone. She’s been a great instructor, and her classes don’t hurt you …”
Dopp said, “We’ve surprised her every year on her birthday but this year we also have the 30 years, so we wanted to do this.”
Christensen teaches Healthy Lifestyle classes. She also teaches stretch and tone classes on Tuesday and Thursday.
