With the Lake Havasu Unified School District and other area schools beginning classes today, it’s good to brush up on school bus safety.

If a school bus is stopped with lights flashing and it’s stop sign extended, traffic traveling in both directions must stop.

Some children cross the street in front of the school bus, so it is important to stop and wait for the bus driver to turn off the lights and put the sign away.
