It’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween.

As a matter of fact, a Halloween decoration can bring joy throughout the year and one Lake Havasu City woman is making that happen.

Kelly Madden, who lives on South Palo Verde Boulevard, fell in love with the giant skeletons a while ago.

Just about two years ago, a friend let her know the skeletons were in stock at the local Home Depot and she ran out and snapped one up.

Her friend, the owner of Stutter Tattoo Al Lytle, is the one who alerted Madden of the in-stock skeletons. And, as a result, he is the namesake of Al Cabone – the ever-changing seasonal fashion maven.

“I honestly got it because I wanted it. I always planned on keeping it out after Halloween,” Madden said.

“It’s gotten bigger than I thought it would. At first, I thought I’d see how it stood up under the heat and so far, so good,” she said.

Al Cabone is ready for his Halloween closeup now.

“After Halloween, I’ll take some of the spooky stuff off and make it more like fall. I’ll do Thanksgiving and then into Christmas.”

Madden said she gets lots of lookers.

“Especially after I change his outfits. It’s been overwhelming the enormous amount of love I get back. People tell me they love him. They tell me their kids love him.”

There are several other skeletons around Lake Havasu City and the search is worth it.

Happy Halloween!
