Families in and around the Lake Havasu City area are invited to participate in the 7th Annual Children’s Fishing Clinic set for Saturday.

The event title sponsor is Anderson Toyota and a spokesperson said the company is always glad to get involved in the event and support the fishing community.

“Anderson Toyota sponsors Pro Fisherman Roy Hawk, who has been involved with the event since the beginning, so it made sense for us to get involved,” said Andrea Foote, Marketing Specialist with Anderson Toyota.

The program is geared  for kids who want to learn about fishing, how to obtain a fishing license, and overall education on game and fish.

“The connection with Roy Hawk is what got us involved and we always want to support the youth in the community,” Foote said.

The 4 to 4 Ever Children’s Fishing Clinic is open to all youth between the ages of 4 to 17, regardless of their fishing experience.  The organization – 4 To 4 Ever – is making fishing dreams come true for youth who otherwise might not have the opportunity to experience their first catch.

The youth will be outfitted with their own fishing rod, and taught the basics of fishing for the 7th Annual Children’s Fishing Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The first 100 children who early bird register online and bring their ticket between the times of 9-10 a.m., will be guaranteed a fishing rod. After 10 a.m., rods and reels will be given out on a first come first serve basis until gone.

“Anderson Toyota supports the fishing community. The youth benefit from this and it is truly priceless to see a kid get his or hers first fishing rod and learn the skill,” Foote said.

Sunset Charter and Tour Co. will be sponsoring the fishing license’s for the event.

This year, the event is at Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor 4. on 171 London Bridge Road.

Once families register, they will be informed of the procedures and directed from there.
