The annual Lake Havasu City Community Dinner is Friday.

It marks the 20th anniversary of the dinner that is a labor of love for many local people and organizations that come together to provide a traditional holiday dinner that is free to the public.

Five Lake Havasu City service organizations that sponsor the Lake Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair coordinated with Albertson’s to purchase 800 pounds of turkey.

The turkeys are delivered to the Lake Havasu Unified School District Master Chef Christopher for preparation.

What’s left is the enjoyment of the Christmas Spirit by the community. It is rumored that Santa could make an appearance.

The dinner is at the Aquatic/Community Center.

There are two serving times: Early Bird at 4 p.m. (doors open at 3:30 p.m.); and the second seating is at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:45 p.m.). Both servings are first come, first served up to 500 people per seating.
