Students at Arevalo Academy in Lake Havasu City spent the weeks leading to the Christmas holiday placing new, unwrapped gifts under the Christmas tree.

The gifts were loaded into a truck on the last day of school before the break to be distributed to foster children throughout Mohave County.

Rudy Arevalo said it was the perfect way for the children to get into the spirit of giving and to understand the meaning of Christmas.
