Country music artist Matt Farris – who incidentally also grew up in Lake Havasu City – filmed a video for his new single “One Night Stand” at the Flying X Saloon on Labor Day.
Farris matriculated from pre-school through high school, graduating from Lake Havasu High School in 2005.
“We would like to release this video as fast as we can – in the next two weeks probably since we’re charting at about 18 on the country charts,” Farris said.
On hand with Farris to participate in the video was his band and the social media comedy team Blonde Brewer.
Jaron and Maggie Clayton make up The Blonde Brewer. They are a husband and wife comedy team popular on all social media platforms. “I insult my wife and she throws something at me,” Jaron Clayton said.
“We’re mutuals on social media and eventually he (Farris) invited us to do this video with him and so we came to Havasu,” Maggie Clayton said.
It is the first time the Claytons have visited Lake Havasu City. “I used to ride stand-up (personal watercraft) up in Eastern Washington and I always wanted to come to Havasu for a competition. I finally made it but not for that,” Jaron Clayton said.
“We’re on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Threads. Just type in The Blonde Brewer and it will come up,” Maggie Clayton said.
Locals were invited to participate as extras in the video shoot.
