With Cancer touching so many lives in one form or another, Matt Farris and Heather Courneya decided to do their part to help others. In 2010, Denise’s Day was formed to help Denise Madrid while she fought her own battle with Cancer. Even though Madrid passed away after the first Denise’s Day, her memory lives on during each event.
Saturday evening at the Rodeo Fairgrounds, Denise’s Day continued on for the 6th year. Over $25,000 was raised during the event which included music by Matt Farris, a food court and 50/50 raffle. All of the money raised stays within Lake Havasu City to help local families fight Cancer.
