Following the dedication of the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, the tradition of London Bridge Days began. The event has been celebrated in October every year since.
Costumes, guest performances and celebreity parade marshalls were the order of the day.
These photos were uncovered at the Lake Havasu Museum of History recently and here are some of them from London Bridge Days 1979.
Comedian Foster Brooks was the Grand Marshall of the London Bridge Days Parade that year.
