The Lake Havasu City Only Orchids Charity Group hosted the Desert Warrior Challenge Saturday at SARA Park. 185 participants participated in 5K and 10K trails through rocks and dirt, and then climbed their way through an obstacle course.
After Marlo Waters led the “warriors” in warm-up stretches and Lizzie Patterson belted out the National Anthem, they were off.
Many participants expressed that this course pushed them through their own limitations and helped them overcome their fears. After crossing the finish line, participants were treated to a concert Saturday night by the band “Con Bro Chill” on the Boom Bandits Stage.
