Polar Bear Day

BRRR! Who’s ready for Polar Bear Day?!

Take the plunge!  Saturday, January 6, the 50th Annual Lake Havasu Polar Bear Day will be held at London Bridge Beach beginning at 12 p.m. at the Island side of the Channel. The entry fee is $5 for all participants and is sponsored by the Havasu Boat and Ski Club.

The event is open to all! Spectators are free to stand along the shoreline and watch.

Group plunges start at 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1 p.m., Participants earn their patch by getting in the water.

Chicken patches are also provided for anyone that dips a toe or even a finger in the water. For you “chickens” out there, entry fee is still $5.

After the plunge, participants are welcome to have some hot soup to warm up.
