An Introduction to Backyard Birds: A Talk and Nature Walk on the Peninsula Trail. We invite you to come and hear from local expert Tom Gaskill at a “talk and walk” session at the Refuge. Tom will introduce the common species of local backyard birds – how to identify them, share about their personalities, food needs, and habitat preferences.

Tom has been birding since he was a child. He has traveled the world deepening his understanding of rare and common bird species across many landscapes. He makes his home in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and is known for his expertise in desert avian fauna. Free community event.
