The Ghost Ryders are based out of Oxnard and Los Angeles, Calif. The group formed four and half years ago to make memorials in honor of cyclists who have been killed while riding. The Ghost Ryders have done 45 memorials since the group was started and each bike has been donated to them by families and organizations. Anthony Martinez and Santiago “Junior” Villafana came to Lake Havasu Wednesday afternoon to honor Larry Smith and Deborah Robinson, who were killed in a cycling accident July 1, on State Route 95. The bikes were painted by Villafana and signed by Angelique Martinez, where they were then later placed along the side of the highway.
