Grab the cowboy hats, boots and the whole family for some fun at the Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association and Delbert Days event, taking place this weekend, Jan. 26 and 27, at the SARA Park Rodeo Fair Grounds.
Cowboys and cowgirls will show their riding skills, while a kids zone will be set up to entertain the smaller members of the family.
“The kids zone will include a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo, a zip line activity and a corn maze happening on both days,” said Kid Zone Coordinator, Brookes Claas. “We will also have Mutton Bustin’ and calf riding which sells out fast.”
Food vendors, beverages and balloon animal making and many bounce houses will also be found at the rodeo.
“At least ninety percent of our food vendors are locals as well,” said Claas.
For those wishing to sign their children up for calf riding and Mutton Bustin’ activities, there is a stock fee of $10. Sign ups begin 10 a.m., each day, with riding starting at 11 a.m.
The rodeo is organized this year by Sandi Nagel, alongside local group Friends of the Fair , whose mission is to promote equestrian events and to promote family friendly events like Delbert Days and The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo.
