Day one of the Pro Rodeo Association and Delbert Days, Sponsored By Anderson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Fiat, wrapped up with plenty activities for the whole family and resumes Sunday.
Tiny cowboys and cowgirls participated in the mutton bustin’, and calf riding competitions, got the chance to refuel at the concession stands and had the opportunity to particpate in many activities in the Kid Zone area.
Rides, including mechanical bulls, a giant taco and a wall rock climbing activity was also on hand.
Each year, Friends of the Fair organize the event. It’s goal is to promote equestrian and the family activities of Delbert Days and The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo, along with team penning and barrel racing. In it’s 20th year, it’s the biggest event yet with sold-out tickets on day one.

For the grown ups, the rodeo featured bull riding, barrel racing and plenty of live music as well.
The rodeo resumed today and is ongoing until 4 p.m., for kid’s free activities. The rodeo begins at 1 p.m.
Admission price is $15 dollars per day for ages 16 and up. Kids under 15 admission is free. The event takes place at SARA Park Rodeo Grounds, 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway.
