Faith and Grace, a Lake Havasu City nonprofit offering the only shelters to women and children fleeing domestic violence hosted a luncheon at Shugrue’s Restaurant and Bar Wednesday.

The guest speaker at the luncheon was author Janine Latus. Latus wrote “If I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister’s Story of Love, Murder and Liberation.”

Faith House Shelter in Lake Havasu City provides emergency care and services while another location – Grace House – offers transitional sheltering.

Their services are designed to remove the obstacles survivors face that keep them from returning to abusive homes, according to Faith and Grace information.
