It’s not every day you hear people say they are looking forward to the start of each work week, but for employees at Havasu Pest Control, this is not the case, because there’s an “atmosphere of teamwork and genuine concern from management.”

“They are so considerate with their employees,” said Aurora Masiello, who has been with the company for 24 years. “It’s a great company to work for.”

The company has been in business since 1972 and is family-owned. A year later, Havasu Pest Control became a member of the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce. Started by owner John Stebila, Havasu Pest Control specializes in pest proofing residential and commercial locations while maintaining a close relationship with its employees and community.

General Manager Michelle Webb believes employees are generally happy because they are taken care of and appreciated for their work.

“At our company, we understand people have families and work hard for us,” said Webb. “We pay a good wage to all our employees to keep them happy and offer 100 percent medical insurance to everyone.”

The company also provides employees with gym memberships and paid vacation time to help keep them healthy, both physically and mentally. A sense of family among the staff also creates a great atmosphere to work in.

“One of the best parts of working here is that everyone is treated like family,” said John Thorp, who has been with the company for 23 years. “We are all there for each other and seldom lose a lot of employees because of that.”

The company also gets involved with the community by volunteering and donating, and sponsoring several organizations and events. Havasu Pest Control is involved with Kindness Partners, assists Parks and Recreation with their annual Teen Break event, and supports other organizations that serve youth in the community.
“Being able to work in this company gives me the opportunity to give back to the community,” said Webb. “To also be able to support our employees and our families is also something our company enjoys doing.”

Aside from serving the Lake Havasu City area, Havasu Pest control also covers Parker and Kingman.
