Lake Havasu businesses and the K-12 Foundation honored Jamaica Elementary School secretary Lynn Edwards with the Golden Apple Award Thursday.

Each month, a committee chooses a teacher or staff member from a school within Lake Havasu to receive the award.

“One of the reasons Lynn Edwards was chosen this month was because of the smile that is always on her face and her willingness to always help,” said Monica Hall of the K-12 Foundation.
