Summer is the season for many things, but it’s known for the time when class reunions are taking place across the country. Lake Havasu City is no exception.
The Lake Havasu High School Class of 2013 welcomed fellow Knights to celebrate its 10-year reunion Saturday evening.
One of the organizers of the event and also a 2013 graduate, Hailey Roberts, said, “I think we’re going to have around 100 to 120. It was going to be about 50 but in the last hour about 50 people have venmoed me.”
Fellow classmate Jamie Jackson also helped organize the reunion.
“It was really fun and kind of stressful. But I think Jake and Hailey and I make such a good team we just came together to make it work,” Jackson said.
The event at the Sunset Room at the London Bridge Resort featured appetizers with a bar. Classmates were entertained by a slide show of their senior year at LHHS. There were yearbooks to look through and a memorial table remembering those who were lost over the past 10 years.
“Our group – our grade – has pretty much grown up with each other since kindergarten. Obviously, people have come and gone but we have been bonded over the years.
“For us to be able to all see each other tonight and reminisce, that’s going to be the best part because a lot has changed in 10 years and it will just be good to see everybody,” Roberts said.
