The 24th annual Bridge Lighting set the holiday season in Lake Havasu City Friday night under the London Bridge.
The event kicked off with 56 participants swimming across the Bridgewater Channel, competing for the honor of flipping the switch to illuminate the bridge and English Village area.
After the chilly swim, the first place male and female helped all the swimmers and community members start the traditional season with thousands of lights, turning the area into a Christmas wonderland.
