The Lake Havasu City Area of Chamber of Commerce each year hosts a class meant to encourage leadership and teach class members best practices for their future success.

There were 26 graduates in the class of 2018. The class project this year was the April 14 Downtown Block Party event that took place at the park space at Querio Drive and McCulloch Boulevard (formerly Springberg McAndrew Park). Graduation was Thursday evening.

Chamber President/CEO Lisa Krueger said, “This year’s leadership graduates are a fantastic group of business people and outstanding examples of the best and brightest of our community. We have been very impressed throughout the past year regarding their teamwork and individual work and learning ethics. I believe the class is the catalyst for change in the program to move it to an even higher level.

Participants are chosen by the LLH Selection Committee by an application process. The Selection Committee may also schedule group and/or private interviews with the applicants. The Committee looks for representation from a cross-section of the community. The leaders and potential leaders will be active in professional business, education, the arts, retail, government and community-based organizations and will reflect the diversity of the community.
