Mohave County’s small business owners, or those who are interested in starting a business, are invited to attend a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) seminar at no cost.

“This seminar is perfect for people who have been thinking about starting a business, particularly veterans or women, and for current business owners who want to expand their business,” said Mohave Community College’s SBDC director Mark Retersdorf. “It’s an opportunity to get answers to questions and share ideas.”

The seminar will be offered from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 13 in Building 200 on the Lake Havasu City campus at 1977 Acoma Blvd., West, and from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14 in Building 600 on the Bullhead City campus at 3400 Highway 95.

The seminar will be presented by Jim Pipper, Marketing and Outreach Specialist for the Arizona district of the SBA.

Pipper will present information on veterans’ loan programs, women’s business assistance programs, Arizona’s new State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Program, Transforming the Federal Government into a Customer, Updates to the U.S. Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, Business Plan Success, Free Online Training for Small Business Owners, in addition to available SBA and SBDC resources.

Registration is not required but is recommended by contacting Retersdorf at (928) 757-0894 or mretersdorf@mohave.edu.
