Businesses around Lake Havasu have been busy making scarecrows for the London Bridge Days Pumpkin Festival. The scarecrows are on display at the businesses and Havasu residents and visitors can “vote” for their favorite scarecrow by donating money into the box set up with the scarecrow. The money benefits Lake Havasu Firefighters charities. The scarecrows will then be put on display at the Pumpkin Festival October 23 and 24 next to the Aquatic Center.
RiverScene Magazine spoke with Donna Best-Carlton about the scarecrow contest and how you can visit our own at United Way and take a selfie with our Darth Vader. The winning scarecrows with the most donations for charity will be in the London Bridge Days Parade.
The following businesses also have scarecrows on display at their businesses:
Campbell Cove One Stop
Mile Markers Therapy
A & B Supply
Desert Star Ballroom
Hermosa Veterinary Clinic
