NWS Press Release:
After a break in showers and thunderstorms, moisture is set to return to the region mid-week and through the weekend, as high pressure sets up across the Four-Corners region. This will be the typical monsoon pattern with no influence from tropical systems expected at this time. Moisture along with shower and thunderstorm chances will be drawn west and northward starting Wednesday and continue through the weekend.
FORECAST DETAILS:
Wednesday: Moisture along with shower and thunderstorm chances increase across southern Mohave and San Bernardino Counties.
Thursday: Moisture continues to spread west and north, with showers and thunderstorms possible across portions of Mohave, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Clark Counties. The terrain would be the favored areas for development in the afternoon and early evening hours.
Friday-Sunday: Moisture spreads across the entire Mojave Desert and Southern Great Basin. Any area could see the development of showers and thunderstorms, yet the terrain would be the favored areas for initial development.
Shower and thunderstorm chances may continue into the beginning of next week.
