Art exposure on Main Street is about to have something new to visually entertain downtown visitors.
Havasu Hardware, located at 2059 McCulloch Blvd., is getting a dynamic mural sponsored by Havasu Area Public Art.
Alex Compomizzi is the artist adding his signature to the growing number of murals in Lake Havasu City.
“I am painting a mural on the side of Havasu Hardware. I was hired by Havasu Area Public Art for my rist official mural I’ll be painting,” Compomizzi said.
The artist said he had painted a few times for GraceArts Live productions, but this is his first outdoor permanent installation.
“My plan for this mural is a beautiful Havasu cityscape. I want you to be able to look at the mural and tell exactly where you’re at in Havasu.”
He said the viewer will be able to see the (London) bridge, the city, the beautiful mountains, Cupcake Mountain, as well as some beautiful palm trees, the iconic lake, hot air balloons – you can’t forget about those ,,,:
Compomizzi is giving himself a month to finish the project.
“I really want to finish on Sept. 24, but I would really like to finish it in about two and a half weeks,” he said.
Cruise down McCulloch and enjoy the new mural taking shape.
