When you see activity this week at Lake Havasu High School, the event is a week-long welcome orientation for new teachers to the Lake Havasu Unified School District.
Ginny Sautner, a LHUSD instructional and curriculum coach said the purpose of the orientation is to focus on “creating an optimal learning environment for our students.
“We want them to know what it means to be a part of the LHUSD family. What is our culture? What are our expectations and how are we servicing every student every day in our community,” Sautner said.
“Words cannot say how excited we are and these teachers are to start a year in the traditional way with students in the classroom in person and all of us are really looking forward to being able to support students in this community,” she said.
Sautner said that each booster or PTA from all LHUSD schools provided donations of breakfast, lunch or refreshments.
“We also had donations from community organizations like the Realtor Assn., and the Lake Havasu City Educators Assn.,” she added.
The first day of school in the LHUSD is Aug. 2.
