Businesses around Lake Havasu created their own scarecrow for the Firefighters Charity Scarecrow Contest. RiverScene Magazine staff set up a Darth Vader themed scarecrow to also help raise money for the charities. The scarecrow will be set up at the pumpkin patch across from the Aquatic Center on Saturday and Sunday October 23-24. You may vote for our scarecrow by making donations at United Way, where it is set up through Thursday, October 22, at 8am- 4pm. You may also take a selfie photo with our Darth Vader and post it to our Facebook wall. The winning scarecrow with the most donations will be in the London Bridge Days Parade on October 31 at 10am.
