Soroptimist International of Lake Havasu City took a chance in 2022 and replaced a long-loved event with a brand new one.
The annual home tour was replaced with the Southwest Chowderfest and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
This year, the Southwest Chowderfest is March 11 from 1 to 5 p.m., and it is moving to new digs at Lake Havasu State Park Windsor 4, on the grass. Matt Ferris will be providing live entertainment.
Tickets are available online now for the event. Admission is $35 per person and children under 12 are admitted for free.
Southwest Chowderfest features friendly competition between local Lake Havasu chefs.
Applications for local chefs are also now available. The entry fee is $25.
