One of the residents of The Views At Lake Havasu is celebrated a special event Monday afternoon.
Ret. Sgt. Bill Love, USMC, is observing his 95th birthday and the Love’s family and the folks at The Views are making sure it will be a memorable day for him.
Love served as a Marine in the Pacific Theater of World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was a rear gunner on an A-24 Scout Bomber Douglas, according to The Views’ Facebook page.

Family and friends gathered in the Arizona State University parking lot behind The Views’ pool area this afternoon for a special surprise birthday parade for Love.
Views representative Mark Retersdorf said in an email, “We are going to do it big but because we are in lockdown, we have to scale it back. It’s too bad the family can’t be together for such an important event, but we’ll make it special.”
After the cars passed by in the parking lot, Love said, ” This is the most anyone has ever paid attention to me in my life.”
