As the calendar pages turned to March, Lake Havasu City is preparing for spring break season.
Local businesses, resorts, restaurants, law enforcement and the Lake Havasu Hospitality Association have teamed up with the aim to make this another memorable – but safe – spring break affair.
“We really want everyone to have a great time,” said London Bridge Resort’s Director of Fun Joelle Dickinson. “Everybody’s ready to party.”
Most of the large-scale festivities will take place on the island and at the beaches near the Bridgewater Channel. Highlights this year include an under-21 parking lot party at BJ’s Tavern on McCulloch, JusCollege programming at the Nautical, live entertainment provided by Boom Bandits at Koko Beach, and scheduled recreation and other activities at the London Bridge Resort.
“We want to bring everything Havasu has to offer to them,” Dickinson said. “The entertainment is booked, the games are ready to go and we are all ready for a good time.”
Music headliners this year include Drake Bell on March 10, Chanel West Coast on March 23 and Shwayze on March 31.
Dickinson said that the resort’s security personnel and other staff will be present at all events and activities throughout the month; and that, in addition to working closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, should ensure the safety of visitors and local residents alike.
Dickinson said that even though some students are officially kicking off spring break this weekend, the action in the Bridgewater Channel and JusCollege programs begin Monday, March 5.
