Tuesday, students marked a special occasion at Starline Elementary School — the grand opening of their playground complete with all new equipment. The old, dilapidated equipment was replaced with safe, compliant and fun playground equipment, thanks to the bond that was supported and passed recently.
More than 600 students will benefit from the new playground equipment, which PTA President Ginny Saunter says has been, “A long time coming.” She also shares that, “We are so grateful to the community for supporting the bond that funded this.”
Starline was built in 1974 and some of the old playground equipment was original to the school. Forty-six playground items have been replaced — and also made to be handicap accessible.
