Summer in Lake Havasu City always means a multitude of programs and activities for school-aged children. Those activities can range from educational to just plain fun.

The following list includes some of the plans to ensure local kids have safe and supervised fun this summer.

Activities will be added as they are received.

Aquatics and Recreation Summer Program:
Registration for the Aquatics and Recreation Summer Program begins Monday, May 16. You may register online at www.lhcaz.gov/aquaticcenter or in person at the Aquatic Center.

The following schools will be holding the Summer Program: Smoketree, Jamaica, Nautilus, and Thunderbolt will hold Camp Iwannago for grades 5th-7th. Price is $250 for one child and additional children $195 each.

Science Camp:
Camp Invention: Starline Elementary School June 6-10 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible Schools:

*Our Saviour Lutheran Church: May 31-June 4 from 9-noon
*Mt. Olive Lutheran Church: June 6-June 10 from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
*Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Parish: Jun 13-17 5:30-8:30 p.m.
*Havasu Christian Church: June 20-24 6:45-9:00 p.m.
*St. Michael’s: July 18-22 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Other Area Programs
Mohave County Library also holds programs throughout the summer for all ages. Please visit their site http://mohavecountylibrary.info/ to view their list of children’s activities.

Lake Havasu Museum of History “Kid’s Summer Fun” program begins May 31. The program features interactive activities for kids of all ages from floor checkers to pet rocks to magnetic sand. Kids can dig for fossils and identify local geological features. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Visit them at www.havasumusem.com or contact the museum at 928-854-4938.
