“George Kalil is the owner of the Kalil Bottling Company and lives in the Tuscon, AZ area. Although he has never met me, he is a legacy in her eyes to the Teen Break event. He and his company have sponsored Teen Break for the past 24 years, since the day it began,” said Donna Best Carlton, of the Aquatics and Recreation Department.
Best-Carlton said, “Mr. Kalil has told us through his marketing manager, Karen Hively, that he supports the event because it keeps teens away from alcohol and showing them they can have a great time while making good choices.”
Kalil’s choice to support Teen Break brings our local major markets together to support Teen Break as well. Each market director provides space for a display that highlights Kalil products and they also donate food, supplies, time and energy to the event.
Support for Teen Break and can be shown by purchasing the following brands: 7-UP, Fiji Water, Sunkist, Snapple, A&W, Squirt, RC Colas, Body Armour, according to Best-Carlton.
“Make it a point to say thank you to the store director, we couldn’t do it without them,” she said.
