Principal Dr. Sandy Breece greeted faculty, parents and students and reinforced the importance of being involved in children’s education.
“A partnership between parents and our school is what I call the Telesis triangle,” said Breece. It is important for the success of our students.”

Sen. Kelli Ward, R-Lake Havasu City, who is also the State Senate Education Committee Chair, also emphasized the importance of parents getting involved.
“It is not just about dropping off our kids at school and hoping the school will do all the work,” said Ward.
“Parents have to make sure to help their child reach their goals.”
Musical performances by students also helped kick off National School Choice Week and entertain the crowd. Students that have maintained good grades were honored as well.

“I think this is a great school,” said parent Gina Bravata. “I love that they are spreading the message about parents getting involved and how they keep the arts and extracurricular activities even if the budget at times can be tight they still find a way to make it happen.”

Students ended the assembly by taking center stage and performing a dance number to the song “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit. “I just want you all to dream big. You can accomplish anything you want in life,” said Ward.
