The annual Honor Ride For Veterans made its sixth stop in Lake Havasu City Saturday morning. The event is meant to recognize sacrifices made by the community’s older citizens.

Motorcyclists joined together at the American Legion Post 81 and made stops at three nursing facilities in Lake Havasu City.

Riders took posters signed by those who participated to the facilities that care for veteran and other patients. The motorcyclists shook hands and spoke with all the patients/members who joined this event and gave Certificates of Gratitude to the veterans.

Each motorcyclist also met and paid their respects to the veterans in their corresponding nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

The riders visited Lake View Terrace Memory Care, Vista Pointe and Havasu Nursing Center.

The ride was coordinated through Veterans Last Patrol, a South Carolina-based nonprofit organization.
