Thursday morning, Lake Havasu City veterans were treated to the fourth annual Rick Seales Vet Ride to the Bunker Bar, sponsored by the Lake Havasu SXS Trail Association and Anderson Powersports.
The event kicked off in Havasu Heights with members of the Desert Hills Fire Department leading the more than 80 SXSs and veterans. The participants got a ride out to the Bunker Bar where they were treated with a lunch, music, a free drink and flag ceremony.
“This event is open to all vets in the community and we get vets from the assisted living facilities to give them rides on our SXS to honor them,” said Georgeann Hoover, of the Lake Havasu SXS Trail Association.
Many of the sxs’s were decorated with American Flags.
“I am riding today because my dad was a vet and he passed away on Leap Year 2020; he was a jokester. He didn’t think we’d get to celebrate him so we’re out here celebrating him. He was in the Navy,” said Jodi Fibrow.
The Vet Ride was also sponsored by Ride Havasu SXS, Ride Dirty Havasu, Havasu Rough Riders SXS Group, ProPrecision, Anything Off-Road, Bowling Congress, Coldwell Banker Realty Lake Havasu, Bunker Bar, and Mohave Mortgage.
