Walk MS Saturday, with Arizona Chapter kicking off the first walk of the year.
More than 150 people walked the 3.2mile Island Trail to support those who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. The walk raised $9,000 of a $12,000 goal toward research on the debilitating disease.
The Lake Havasu City Elks Lodge provided lunch for the walkers and volunteers at the event.
“Having MS has been hard on me and my family, but I stay strong and fight daily with the horrible things that are happening inside my own body,” said participant Tiff Groff
Donations will be accepted through May 4th at www.walkms.org
