One of Lake Havasu City’s favorite seasonal events – 2022 Western Pyrotechnic Association Winter Blast – begins Wednesday and the sky will explode with spectacular fireworks nightly through Sunday at SARA Park, south of town, with seating available at Havasu 95 Speedway.
Winter Blast has been thrilling local audiences for 33 years. More than 700 WPA members come to the event to either showcase their latest showstoppers or to look at those of others.
They begin firing off displays Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m., and each night after that through Sunday. The main display will be held Saturday evening.
Parking is available inside SARA Park at $10 (cash only) per car or pickup, per day, regardless of the number of people within. Motorcycle and bicycle operators’ parking is available for $5 each. Full parking fees will only be charged Friday through Sunday because Wednesday and Thursday are not full displays. Grandstands will not be open Wednesday. Parking will be half price on Thursday because of a limited display. Grandstand seating is $10, with children under 6 admitted free.
The parking gate will open at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and at noon Saturday. Leaving the park during the display is not allowed. No coolers, firearms or alcohol may not be bought in or taken out and there are no refunds.
Negative Covid-19 tests or vaccination cards will NOT be required for those sitting in the grandstands. This policy is for pyrotechnic vendors only.
Please leave pets at home.
