A strong weather event has been forecast for the Mohave County area by the National Weather Service out of Las Vegas, Nev.
A high wind warning will be in effect beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with wind, rain and snow predicted through Saturday.
Winds could reach gusts up to 70 mph.
A NWS spokesperson said the Lake Havasu City area should miss the first round of the system and won’t be experiencing much of a disturbance except for the wind until Thursday.
According to the weather service, the Lake Havasu City area could get some snow flurries and wind gusts of 60 mph. Flurries could be possible during the colder temperatures of the mornings.
The weather service told RiverScene Magazine that intense weather systems have continued to move through the area every five to seven days for the next several weeks.
