It’s time for Anderson Powersports Desert Storm, the boating event that attracts tourists and enthusiasts from around the world this week in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Things begin on Wednesday, with Krusin 4A Kause, where Desert Storm drivers take those with All Abilities out on Lake Havasu for a ride. After the ride, there is lunch and swimming for the participants at Kokomo’s pool.

Thursday is the IHRA street party where spectators can get up close to the boats at downtown McCulloch Boulevard, from 1 to 9 p.m.

McCulloch Blvd from Acoma Blvd. to Riviera will be closed Thursday, April 23, 4 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. for the street party, so plan accordingly for traffic.

Friday,  the GoLakeHavasu Parade of Power boat parade starts at 11 a.m., at the Bridgewater Channel. Bring a chair to sit along the Channel and enjoy the boats before they head out to the poker run.

Feel the roar on the water Saturday morning at the Shugrue’s Shoot Out near Site Six. Site Six will be closed to the public for the Shugrue’s Shoot Out at 11 a.m., but spectator viewing will be possible around that area.
