Havasu History: Parks And Recreation Summer Fun From The Past

A treasure-trove of photo slides found at the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation department continues to provide insights into the area’s past.

Since summer programs kick off soon, it’s the perfect time to publish this tranche that illustrates Lake Havasu kids enjoying activities in the 1990s.

In those days, Parks and Rec offered Sunshine Camp Day Camp for children entering first through fourth grades in the fall; Camp I Wanna Go for campers entering fifth through seventh grades; and Surf Camp for high schoolers.
