Located off London Bridge Road in Lake Havasu City, Lake Havasu State Park offers a white sand shoreline on Lake Havasu as well as a large recreational grass area. Enhanced by the panoramic view of the lake and surrounding badlands of the desert, picnic tables offering shelter under shaded covers are equipped with outdoor grills ready for use.
Featuring the Mohave Sunset Trail, a 1.75-mile scenic stretch for those ready to hike and walk, the park also is home to the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden, a habitat for a number of diverse animal and plant species.
Equipped with two launch ramps, the area is also a favorite spot for boaters and water enthusiasts, offering 47 tent sites as well as RV camping sites with electrical and water hook-ups. Included in camping fees are the use of area restrooms, showers, picnic areas, dump station and on-site boat ramp for the enjoyment of visitors to the park.
Major events annually scheduled at Lake Havasu State Park include the Lake Havasu Boat Show, the Sand and Water Expo, Bluegrass on the Beach Festival, Busses by the Bridge, and Rockabilly Reunion. Leashed pets are welcomed in all areas of the park except on the sand beach. Park camping and group picnic area fees are $20-$30, with a reservation required.
