A new Lake Havasu city mental health and suicide prevention organization, #YOUmatter partnering with the Havasu Community Health Foundation sponsored the first Suicide Awareness and Prevention walk in Rotary Park Saturday morning. Over 100 volunteers worked to organize the walk.
There were 300 walkers who made their way from Rotary Park to the London Bridge to bring awareness of suicide and its impact on the community and people in all walks of life. Thunderbolt Middle School Interact Club was on hand to give out water to walkers along the way.

It was so exciting so many people came out for this very important walk. ♡ My children and I lost our husband/dad 7n 1995 and although its been 22 yrs we still hurt but not angry anymore.
Thank you to the young people of Havasu for passing out water, directing the walkers on which way to go, and for all their clever sayings they wrote on the walkways along the way. You’re a great bunch!!
You guys did a great job taking photos and reporting our event thanks to all. Great day Roy our community getting out the message; #YOUmatter; and what we can do as a community to help folks with suicidation taughts. Thanks again Bob Feliciano
