The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9401 of Lake Havasu City will conduct its annual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday at Havasu Memorial Gardens, 1698 Deer Run Drive.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and last about an hour. The main speaker will be State Rep. Sonny Borrelli. Local fallen veterans will be honored, with Gold Star Mother Debbie Tinnell placing a wreath on her son’s grave. Patrick Tinnell was killed in action in Iraq in 2006.

There will be a release of balloons, sponsored by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chair.
