Lake Havasu City was in the spotlight Friday morning when it was featured on Arizona’s Family Chanel 3 “Good Morning Arizona” show with hosts Scott Pasmore, Olivia Fiero and April Warnecke.

“It’s called ‘Field Trip Friday’ and we know how wonderful Lake Havasu is so it’s the perfect spot to come especially this time of year,” Pasmore said.

“My favorite thing always is being on the water. We got to go out to fish with April and Olivia. We got to go out on the Tiki Bar and we got to go out on a wave runner, so anything on the water is always my favorite,” he said.

Warnecke said it was her first time visiting Lake Havasu City.

“I’m an Arizona Native and I’ve never been here, and I’m blown away. It is so beautiful here and so much fun but more than anything, it’s been the people we’ve met here have just been awesome,” she said.

“We did a sunset fishing cruise last night. We, as a group, caught one,” Warnecke said.

“I think because of the unusual weather this year, the fishing season hasn’t been as good is what I’m hearing from boat captains. I’ve seen the pictures of the fish that come out of Lake Havasu, though, so I’ll definitely be back out to try catch one.”
