The Side X Side Trail Association Of Havasu is ready for event season and has partnered with Anderson Powersports.
This year, the organization hosted its first meeting of the year and hopes to raise funds for the Desert Hills Firefighters Association together with the partnership.
“We are hoping to assist the department needs, particularly. In the past, we have been able to help them purchase an off-road vehicle for when they can’t get their firetrucks out in a certain area,” said Mike O’ Gorman, President of the Side X Side Trail Association.
The club has been around since 2015, and its members are dedicated to trail maintenance and placing proper tracks upon which off roaders can travel. The club also brings many off-road UTV riders together.
“We do a lot of grooming of the trails and stuff like that because a lot of the visitors that come here just destroy our desert,” said Side X Side Trail Association Member Georgann Hoover. “We go back and fix the trails and make them easier to ride on.”
This year, the club has partnered with Anderson Powersports for an upcoming ride event taking place at Anderson Toyota which will be free to public participants on January 13, 2024.
“Our involvement with upcoming events means we are sponsoring it, but also try to make it kind of more of a customer appreciation event. All the funds will still be going back to Desert Hill Firefighters Association. And then we’re working closely with the club on this,” said Anderson Auto group Marketing Specialist Andrea Foote. “When the event nears, we will have an easy registration form for participants.”
