Lake Havasu resident Lisa Keener is beaming with pride this week after her granddaughter, Emily Keener, appeared as a contestant on “The Voice” Tuesday. All four chairs turned around for Emily and she picked Pharrell Williams as her coach.

“I’m very excited! She is having the best time ever. Music is her life. She started writing at the age of 12 and playing guitar at only 10 years old. Right now she is just trying to take it all in,” says Emily’s grandmother Lisa Keener.

To watch how far Emily progresses throughout the season, “The Voice” airs Monday and Tuesday evenings on NBC. Check local listings for time.

Good luck Emily, from RiverScene Magazine!
